Creating a Payment run (Crypto)

Updated over a year ago

To create a payment run, firstly go to the Payments category within the Payouts section of the platform.

To create a run, click “New” on the payments page.

Input a name for your payment run. Please note, this is not a payment reference, this is an internal name to help identify your payment run. For example, “Salaries - June”.

You will see a timeline of the steps of creating a processing a payment run:

Make - You can either add your payments manually, or bulk upload your payments using a CSV file. When you bulk upload, the labels below are your required columns.

More Information:

When adding your Beneficiary ID as a bulk upload, ensure the value inputted in your file matches an existing Beneficiary ID. If the beneficiary is new, you will need to add the beneficiary in the beneficiary tab before adding them to a payment run.

Please ensure your currency is stated in the Amount column. For example USDC 5,000. If you do not input a currency, your organisation’s default currency will be selected.

The column Reason is for compliance purposes, please ensure you fill this as accurately as possible to ensure there are no delays with your payment being made. Reasons can be “Payroll” or “Invoice” for example.

The Reference column is what will appear on your beneficiaries bank account or statement.

When your payment run is ready, click on the actions tab to lock all payments and send them for review.

Review (and Reset button) - Your reviewers (according to the review workflow that you have set up in your account admin settings) will be sent the payment run to review. You will not be able to edit the payment run as it is locked, so in order to make any changes, you will need to reset the run back to the Make stage. The “Delete” button on the left of the image below will become the “reset” button once you have locked your payment run for review. Your reviewer will be notified that your payment run has been reset and they will not be able to review until you have moved it back to the review stage.

Fund - Once your review has been reviewed, it will be moved to the Fund stage, where your “Funder” user will be notified to confirm the payment run for payment. The funder will be able to review the payment run and book the payment.
