Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is a security feature that adds an extra verification step to your Swapcard account, ensuring that access requires more than just a password. By enabling two-step authentication (2FA), you protect sensitive event data from unauthorized access. This feature requires users to verify their identity using an authenticator app, significantly reducing the risk of breaches. Setting up MFA is straightforward and strengthens your event’s overall security, providing peace of mind for organizers, team members, and attendees alike.
How to set up 2-Step Authentication
Enabling 2-Step Authentication in our event application is quick and easy. Here's a brief overview of how it works:
Navigate to Your Account Settings: Log in to your account and head over to your account settings.
Enable 2-Step Authentication: Simply click on "Enable 2-Step Authentication within your account settings.

Once the 2-FA has been activated, you'll be asked to generate a code with your authenticator app everytime you log in.
How can you disable 2FA?
You can turn off 2FA anytime:
Log in to your account
Go to your Settings
Under the 2-Step Authentication section, click Disable 2FA
⚠️ Note: Disabling MFA will reduce your account’s security level.
How can organization admins check if members have enabled 2FA?
If you're an Owner or Admin of an Organization in Studio:
Go to Settings & Members
View the list of team members
You’ll see a status indicator showing whether each member has 2FA enabled
