Attest Boards make it easy to craft and share dynamic data stories directly from the Results Dashboard. Use Boards to:
Streamline data story creation: Seamlessly pull together filtered insights, customized charts, and important context into a flexible and interactive board.
Iterate and keep insights fresh: Boards automatically update with new data, ensuring your story evolves in real time to reflect the latest insights and filters applied.
Engage stakeholders with interactive insights: Boards strike a balance between static presentations and full dashboards, allowing you to highlight key charts while enabling stakeholders to explore data through interactive filters.
How to create and use Boards
Follow this step-by-step guide to start building your data stories using Attest Boards:
Create a Board
To create a board for a survey, start by going to the Results Dashboard for the desired survey. From here, you have two options to create a board:
Navigate to “Boards” at the top of the results dashboard and select the option to add a new board.
Add charts to your Board
Add charts directly from the Results Dashboard by clicking “Add to board” and selecting the board you wish to update. Alternatively, add charts directly on the board by clicking on the + button, selecting “Chart” and adding the desired question.
Add narrative
Enhance your board by adding chart blocks, description text to your chart or chart titles to provide context, explanations, or summaries. This helps to tie your data together into a cohesive narrative. Not sure where to start? Let our AI help you! If you click on the AI icon on the top right of the card we'll suggest some chart titles as well as key findings for your chart.
Split your charts
If you want to compare how various groups of respondents have replied to a question, we suggest you add variables to split your chart. Open your edit model, scroll down to your answers and select "+ add variables". You'll be able to compare demographics, questions and custom segments and see where there are statistically significant differences.
Apply filters
You can dive deeper into the data for each chart by applying filters. Click on the filter icon at the top right of the chart and select the filter you want to add. You can choose from demographics and answer filters, or build your own custom segments where you can combine and/or/not logic.
Design your board
You can arrange charts and text cards vertically or side-by-side by using drag and drop. You can also tailor charts by clicking the edit icon on the top right and choose from various chart types, exclude specific answers, or apply custom color themes to align with your brand.
Summarise your findings
When you add a text card at the top of your board, you will get the option to use AI to write a board summary. This gives you a helpful starting point for capturing the key findings from your board.
Share your board
Click “Share” to set permissions for who can edit or view your board. By default everyone in your organisation can view your board, but you can change this to "edit" or "no access". You can also give anyone with the link permission to view your board (provided your survey is public). This is helpful when you want to share your findings with stakeholders that don't have an Attest account.
Let's look at an example
Here is an example to illustrate how boards work in practice.
