Learn more about our new Beta feature "Reports" and how it works

Updated over a month ago

Attest Reports make it possible to craft and share data stories directly from the Results Dashboard. Use Reports to:

  • Streamline data story creation: bring together filtered insights, customised charts, and important context into a single comprehensive report.

  • Iterate on your story and keep insights fresh: reports automatically update to include new waves of data and reflect filters applied

  • Share key insights with your stakeholders in an interactive format: Reports strike a balance between a static presentation and full data dashboard. Share the most relevant charts with your stakeholders and include filters so they can explore the data for themselves.

Note: Reports is in Beta, which means we are still developing this feature and we are actively seeking feedback to make it better. Your input is invaluable in shaping this feature to meet your needs! Reach out to your CSM if you would like to be included in this Beta.

How to create and use Reports

Follow this step-by-step guide to start building your data stories using Attest Reports:

  1. Create a Report

To create a report for a survey, start by going to the Results Dashboard for the desired survey. From here, you have two options to create a report:

Navigate to “Reports” in the left-hand menu and select the option to add a new report.

Click on “Save” on any chart within the Results Dashboard to create a new report instantly.

  2. Add charts to your Report

You can add charts directly from the Results Dashboard to your reports by clicking “Save” and selecting the desired report. You can also add charts directly on your report by clicking on “Chart” at the bottom of your report and selecting the question you would like to add.

  3. Add narrative text

Include text blocks in your report to provide context, explanations, or summaries of your findings. This helps to tie your data together into a cohesive narrative.

  4. Edit your charts

Optimise your charts by clicking the edit icon at the top right of each chart. Here, you can choose different chart types, remove specific answers, and apply custom colour themes to align with your brand.

  5. Apply filters

You can dive deeper into the data for each chart by applying filters. Click on the filter icon at the top right of the chart and select the filter you want to add.

  6. Structure your report

Customise the layout by dragging and dropping charts and text blocks. Position items either vertically or side-by-side to create comparisons, such as placing a chart next to a text block or alongside another chart.

  7. Share your report

Click “Share” to copy an editor or viewer access link. To generate a viewer link (accessible without an Attest account), make sure your results are set to public.

Let's look at an example

Here is an example to illustrate how the reports functionality works in practice.
