Login for Users in SAML SSO enabled orgs

How to login if you are a User in an organisation that has set up SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) SSO (Single Sign On)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Congratulations on being part of an organisation that is using Attest’s SAML SSO!

You’re likely to use SAML SSO across your company for other applications that you and your team use. This means you have secure end-to-end organisational authentication on who you are, and the apps that you use.

Once your Admin has set up your organisation with SAML enabled on Attest you will have near instantaneous secure access to your research and insights at anytime.

If you already have an Attest account once SSO is enabled:

Note: if you had previously logged in via email and password, you will no longer be able to as a User and will need to follow the SSO login flow below.

1. On the Attest login page, select ‘Log in with SSO’

2. Type in the email address that you use for your company credentials and click `Continue`

3. If your company has successfully set up SSO, you will be redirected to your IdP (e.g. Okta, Microsoft Entra ID) to complete the authentication process.

4. If successful, you’ll be redirected back to Attest and land on the Homepage. If you are unsuccessful, please try again and if errors persist please contact the team who support SAML SSO enablement (usually IT) in the first instance.

If you’ve been newly invited to Attest:

Firstly, welcome, we’re so glad to have you onboard!

1. Your welcome email will include a link which will direct you straight to your IdP. Your invite email will look similar to this:

2. Click ‘Get Started’, fill out the information when prompted by your IdP (e.g. Okta, Microsoft Entra ID), and if successful, you’ll be redirected back to Attest!

3. Once you’ve logged in that first time, every time you login to Attest you should click on `Log in with SSO` and follow the steps as detailed above

You have previously logged in via SSO but your organisation has disabled it and you now need to log in via password:

1. If you previously had an email and password login, you’ll be able to reuse your previous credentials

2. However, if you have forgotten your password, or if you have never had a password with Attest, then follow the ‘Forgot password’ prompt on the Login screen

3. You’ll be asked to enter your email address. If we have an account for you, you’ll be sent an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

If you are still struggling, check with Attest Organisational Admin to check you've been added correctly.
We encourage you to check with your SSO set up team in your organisation first if you are encountering errors with your login as they will be better placed to support individual error queries.

Any further questions please reach out to your Account team.
