Though everyone makes mistakes, you can't make edits to a live survey, even if it's paused. This includes changing questions, answer options, targeting, start date or any other information about the survey. Editing a survey when it's live would cause your results data to be a mix of data from before and after the changes were made, so to protect your data quality we don't allow any changes to live surveys.
If you need to make a change, you will need to close the survey, duplicate it, edit and re-publish.
To close the survey and duplicate it, click the three dots in the top right of the card, select "Close". Once the survey is closed you can click the three dots again and select "Duplicate & Edit", this will take you to a new draft where you can make the changes.
If you close a survey before you start receiving answers, you can get in touch with your Customer Research Manager, or contact us via Intercom and we will be able to arrange a refund.
