How long does it take for a survey to fill?

Discover the average time it takes for a survey to close, and what to do if your responses start to slow down.

Updated over 5 years ago

Looking at surveys of all sizes and complexity, Attest surveys fill within 3 days on average, and most close within a day.

You can expect your survey to close more quickly than this if you have a small sample size, and broad targeting. Long surveys with a large sample size, narrow targeting, quotas and qualifying questions will take longer to fill up with respondents. If you need your sample size filling within a day, consider reducing your use of these features.

With every survey, as soon as it is live you can see results in real-time in the results dashboard, you don't need to wait for the survey to fill to start looking at the results.

If the responses to your survey have slowed down significantly, and you haven't received a new response in several hours, get in contact with our team who can take steps to re-engage the respondent pool.

Finally, if you decide to close the survey early, before it has filled, get in contact with our team who can refund you for responses you haven't yet received.
