We have recently updated UK demographic targeting for Household Income and Education.
The update means alignment with current best practices and more logical choices for respondents. It means that your targeting continues to be up-to-date with the most accurate feasibility, and you can efficiently access your desired audience.
When you first open an impacted draft survey we will automatically remove UK Household Income and UK Education and show a prompt to re-add these based on the revised demographic targeting. For a majority of customers, the update won’t impact the ability to target the required audience once re-added. For a few customers, selected targeting may need to be revised within the new demographic definitions.
What will happen to my surveys that I’ve stored in draft, or surveys that I’m actively working on?
The following will happen:
A message will pop up as soon as you open an affected draft survey which contains Household Income and Education targeting in the UK
The message will notify you that UK Household Income and UK Education demographics you had previously targeted have been automatically removed
You will be prompted to update your Audience by either selecting ‘Review Audience’ or to ‘Do this later’
If you choose to ‘Review Audience’ at this point, you will be taken to the Audience page to re-add the UK Household Income and/or UK Education targeting
If you choose to ‘Do this later’, you will need to come back and re-add Household Income and/or Education in the UK yourself. You will not see the prompt again.
What will happen in the Results of surveys I’ve already run using the old definitions of Household Income and Education?
If you have collected Household Income and Education in previous surveys, your Result pages will continue to remain the same and show the previous targeting definitions.
What will happen in the Results pages (dashboard, exports) of the surveys with the new targeting?
This will display the updated targeting as you have selected it. You can find the new targeting on the right hand side of the Results dashboard as normal. Your exports will pull through the new targeting on your surveys.
