Can I export versions for each retailer/platform?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Atticus isn't currently set up to create store specific links, but you can create a universal book link automatically using Booklinker. This saves you the trouble of having to manage separate versions of your book!

Universal links are incredibly powerful because they allow your readers to purchase your books quickly and easily from their preferred retailer and in their country's store (ex: amazon.co.uk instead of amazon.com).

It is also important to be aware of the rules regarding links inside of your books because stores like Amazon and Apple will reject books that include links to their competitor's store. Which means that without a universal book link, you'd need to export a different version of your book for each of your distribution channels.

To create in Atticus:

  1. Highlight the text in Atticus and click the Link button in the toolbar.

  2. Select Link to Book and enter your book's sales page URL

  3. A universal link will be created allowing readers to choose their preferred retailer

BookLinker currently supports Amazon, Apple and Barnes & Noble links, but more stores are coming soon!
