How do I import chapters or a new volume into an existing book?

Updated over 4 months ago

If you need to add new content to a book you've already started in Atticus, you can easily do so by saving the new chapter or group of chapters in a .docx file and importing it into Atticus. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  • In Atticus, navigate to the book where you want to add new content.

  • Look for the three dots located next to the 'Add Chapter' button.

  • Click on the three dots to open a menu of additional options.

  • From the menu that appears, select 'Import Chapters' and select your file.

After your file is imported, a window will pop up asking if you'd like to import these chapters into a new volume. Now, you have two possible scenarios for importing the new chapters:

Scenario 1: Importing chapters into a new volume (applicable for boxsets):

  • If you're creating a boxset and want to group the imported chapters into a new Volume, select 'Yes'.

Scenario 2: Adding chapters to the end of the body section:

  • If you don't want to create a new volume and simply want to add the chapters to the end of the body section, select 'No.'
