Because changing chapter titles does involve a bit more processing on the back end of things, these fields often don't update as quickly as when you are adding content to the body or updating other aspects of your chapter. If you're entering information faster than these updates can process it can lead to the lagging you're experiencing.
We are working to improve this functionality in future updates, but sometimes, a little patience is needed when updating multiple chapter titles.
