Word doesn't support the same complex formatting coding that Atticus uses, so when it opens the exported file, it only retains basic formatting. There are a few quick things within Word you can do to help with the view.
Set an indent using the Word ruler - this will apply to all new paragraphs
Set spacing between paragraphs using the Paragraph settings
