You will need two computers running LiveProfessor on the same network, and an external way to switch your live audio path between them (e.g. a snapshot/macro on the mixer or a matrix).
Both machines must have the same plugins installed. Before you start
Connect both machines to the same local network/subnet.
On each machine, configure its audio device and I/O as usual.
Make sure both computers can load the same plugins.
Step 1 — Open the Redundancy options on both machines
Open the Redundancy Options dialog on both machines. You can reach it from the options menu.
Step 2 — Enable redundancy on both machines
In the Redundancy Options dialog, tick Enable redundancy mode on both machines. Once enabled, each machine starts announcing itself and discovering the other. After a moment, each machine should see the other appear in the systems list with an Online status.
Step 3 — Set the roles
On the machine you want as the backup, click
Run as Backup. Its status becomes Idle Backup — it is now available to be paired, waiting for a primary.On the machine you want as the primary, click
Run as Primary. Its status becomes Primary.
Roles persist across restarts. A machine is always exactly one role until you change it. Step 4 — Pair the backup from the primary
On the primary machine, in the Selected backup system dropdown, choose the backup machine from the discovered list. This bonds the two machines.
The backup's status changes to Backup Syncing.
The primary immediately pushes a full copy of the current project to the backup, which loads it and begins processing audio in parallel.
Step 5 — Confirm they are in sync
On the primary, the status should read primary machine with backup on <name>, and the app‑bar indicator should be green.
On the backup, the status should read Backup Syncing and show it is receiving data from the primary.
Use the Connection diagnostics panel at the bottom of the dialog to confirm a live connection between the machines.
Make a small change on the primary (e.g. move a plugin parameter or recall a snapshot) and confirm it appears on the backup.
If anything looks out of sync, click Refresh Project on the primary to force a full re‑send of the whole project.
