A PRN care routine is an unscheduled routine that may need to be completed for a resident. If you give extra care to a resident that was not listed in their scheduled routines, you can document the care in Care Track. This video will walk you through the steps to document extra care was given:

You can add additional details to a PRN in Care Track. Note that the Care Track must be live for your community and subcategories will need to be added by an implementation manager.

Step 1:

If PRN care is needed during a Care Pass, click "I Gave Extra Care" at the top right of the screen.

Step 2:

Select the activity you would like to document. If the PRN has additional details, you will click "next," and the screen will show the configured list. If there are no additional details, click "Submit."

Step 3:

For PRNs with additional details, click "next" after selecting the PRN.

Step 4:

Select the option that matches what you did and finish by clicking "submit."

When complete, the PRN will be displayed at the top of the Care Pass that it was completed in.

You can also find a log of PRN care in the Care Log report that you can download from the care tab of the resident’s chart.
