Controlled Count: Managing Controlled Count when residents move out

Use the Resident Move Out feature as usual to indicate the resident has moved out of community.

Step 1: Go to the resident’s Orders section and manually discontinue all controlled medication orders.

Step 2: Go to eMAR > Controlled Count > Record Disposal and set counts to 0.

​Step 3: Complete End of Shift to finalize the change.
​

After this, controlled medications for the resident will no longer appear in Controlled Count.
