Recommended Workflow if Counting per Tube:
Do not enter a quantity when receiving the inventory.
This avoids automatic per-dose deductions that can quickly create negative counts.
During End of Shift, staff will see the “Inventory Required” tag.
Instruct them to bypass this item.
Optionally, communities can maintain a paper log:
Example: “1 tube of ABHR for Marilyn”
Recommended Workflow if Counting per Syringe:
Change the QTY within the medication order to 1 Syringe
