Indicating medications to be given by Outside Providers

Step 1: - Locate the medication order

Find the appropriate medication in the resident's medication tab and click "Edit" on the right side of the order.

Step 2: Select the "Outside Providers" tag

This tag is meant to indicate medications administered by an outside provider, such as Hospice or Home Health.

Note: If Hospice or Home Health does not show for the administration of a medication, you can still administer the meds by following these steps:

  1. Toggle the Outside Provider tag off, and save to remove it.

  2. Administer the medication.

  3. Add the tag back following the pass to indicate outside provider involvement.
