Putting a medication on hold

Step 1:

To place a medication on hold, click on the appropriate medication in the resident's medication tab.

Step 2:

When the medication opens for you to edit, click on the “On Hold” toggle.

Enter the start and end dates and times for the hold on the medication. Provide a reason in the text box and click save.

Note: If no end date is indicated, the medication will be on hold indefinitely until one is entered.

Step 3:

Click on the "Save" button to save your changes. You will see the medication on hold in the resident's medication list.

*Please note that this change will show on the medication tab, eMAR, and on the MAR.

To remove the hold
Step 1:

Click the med that needs the hold removed.

Step 2:

Click the "On Hold" toggle off, then save to remove the label from the medication list for the resident.
