When you see a medication in a med pass that needs to be changed to another time, you can update it by navigating to the resident's chart.
In this example, I found a medication that is in the current med pass, but I need to move to another med pass time.
Step1:
Navigate to the resident's chart by clicking their name below their picture.
Step 2:
Find the medication that needs to be adjusted. Click on it to edit the schedule.
Step 3:
Review the details section of the med order and click the time dropdown to select a new time for the med to be administered. Once selected, click save.
Once saved, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the medication update. You can compare the current order to the updated order to ensure the change you are making is correct.
If everything looks correct, you can choose to update the order immediately or on the next scheduled day. If you choose to update immediately, depending on the scenario, the updated order will replace the current one OR give you an extra order displayed in the medication pass for that day. When making your selection, you will see when the next dose will be.
If you choose to update on the next scheduled day, the current schedule will remain in effect for today, and the updated schedule will go into effect tomorrow. You can see the remaining doses left today and the med pass schedule for tomorrow.
Once you make your selection, you can click confirm to save the update, and your selected changes will go into effect.
