Aurex uses TradeLocker as its trading platform, so our market hours, daily accounting, and trading-day resets are based on the trading schedule and server structure used by the platform.

A trading day does not necessarily begin and end according to midnight in your local timezone.

In the Forex market, an important daily rollover traditionally occurs around 5:00 PM New York time, commonly referred to as the New York close.

Around this period, liquidity can temporarily decrease and certain instruments may briefly stop trading while brokers and liquidity providers transition from one trading day to the next. This is also when daily accounting processes, swaps/overnight financing where applicable, and daily candles may roll over.

This transition happens around the period when the Sydney/Asian trading session is beginning, which is why traders may see the market briefly close and reopen before trading continues into the new day.

Trading platforms may also use UTC or server time for their internal accounting and daily calculations. A trading day can therefore reset at 00:00 UTC/server time, regardless of what time it is where you live.

For this reason, your local midnight should never be assumed to be the start of a new Aurex trading day, remember, this is based on Tradelocker's system.

It is each trader's responsibility to understand the difference between their local timezone and the platform/server time.

To make this easier, Aurex provides a countdown timer showing exactly how much time remains before the current trading day resets.

We strongly recommend using this timer as your primary reference rather than calculating the reset based solely on your local timezone.

In simple terms:

New York close → Daily rollover → Transition into the Asian session → New trading day

Since Aurex operates through TradeLocker, Aurex follows the applicable TradeLocker/server market schedule for market closures, trading-day accounting, and daily resets.
