Similarities

All of our mattresses come with the same pocket spring system in a honeycomb layout (986 springs for Queen & 1160 springs for King).

Differences

The main differences between our three mattresses come down to the comfort layer:

  • Cooper ($850-$1,750): Uses a 7.5cm high-density polyfoam comfort layer. It's our budget-friendly entry point with a firmness range of 2-10.

  • Aurora ($1,700-$2,750): Features 5cm natural latex instead of polyfoam, plus adds a micro spring layer (1,600 additional micro-springs for Queen, 1,800 for King). Firmness range 2-16.

  • Cloud ($1,950-$3,190): Same latex as Aurora but with dual micro spring layers (3,200 additional springs for Queen, 3,600 for King). This creates that "floating on a cloud" feel with the deepest contouring. Firmness range 2-13.

What is the best mattress?

Comfort is personal. We like to say: the Aurora and Cooper are for people who like sleeping "on" the bed, and the Cloud is for people who like sleeping "in" the bed. Side sleepers will experience additional contouring and plushness from extra micro-springs on the Cloud. Back sleepers may prefer the Aurora.

For those who can't decide: Ausbeds is a buy-for-life, modular mattress. Each component of the mattress is upgradable, replaceable and adjustable. That means you can upgrade from a Cooper all the way to a Cloud by replacing a few parts, not the whole mattress.

How is the Cloud better than Aurora?

No, not better. Just a different feel. The best way to explain it: the Cloud is for those who like to lie "in" the mattress, and the Aurora is for those who like to lie "on" the mattress. The Cloud just provides an additional micro spring layer that cushions the feel even more.

Price difference is about $490 more for Cloud (Queen: $2,940 vs Aurora $2,450). Both use the same natural latex and pocket springs, so durability is identical. The best thing about it, our mattresses are modular, so if at any time you wish to upgrade from the Aurora to the Cloud, it's possible. You just need to pay the difference and the delivery fee.
