Steps to import products

The AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension makes it easy to import products from supported suppliers with just a few clicks. Import single products, bulk import multiple items at once, or publish directly to your store instead of saving as drafts.

Publish to store settings

By default, products are added as drafts when imported by the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension. To publish directly to your store:

  1. Open the extension.

  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️).

  3. Change the setting from "Draft to Store" to "Publishing to Store."

  4. Click Update to apply the setting.

Future imports will now be published directly to your selected stores, instead of being saved as drafts.

Search and import products

To search for products inside the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension, and prepare it for importing:

  1. Select stores: Choose one or multiple stores for simultaneous importing.

  2. Select suppliers: Use the supplier dropdown to select the location from which you want to search and import.

  3. Select regions: Pick the "Ships From" location to ensure you're sourcing from the correct geographical area.

  4. Search bar: Type a keyword related to your product, such as "headphones" or "yoga mat."

  5. Click Search Now to begin.

The extension will automatically open all selected supplier websites in new tabs, ready for you to browse and import products.

Import a single product

To import a single product in the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension, while browsing a supplier's website:

  1. Click the "+" button on the product image in your search results.

  2. Alternatively, select the AutoDS Helper icon (DS logo) while viewing the product page and click the "+ Import" button.

  3. The product will be instantly added to your AutoDS account according to your chosen settings.

Import multiple products (bulk import)

To import multiple products at once from a supplier's search results page, in the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension:

  1. Click the AutoDS Helper icon (DS logo) on the page.

  2. A table will appear displaying all detected products on the current page.

  3. Use the checkboxes to select the items you want to import.

  4. Click "+ Import" to add all selected products to your AutoDS account.

This bulk import feature is particularly useful when you want to build your product catalog from supplier search results quickly.

Amazon stores: special considerations

Bulk import is only supported for Amazon stores when using Amazon as the supplier. This limitation exists because Amazon stores require an ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) for each product.

What is an ASIN? An ASIN is a unique 10-character code used by Amazon to identify and manage products across its platform. This identifier is essential for listing products in Amazon stores.

If you attempt to use bulk import for an Amazon store with a non-Amazon supplier, you'll see the following message: "You can use bulk import for Amazon stores only when importing products from an Amazon supplier."

Workaround: importing single products to Amazon stores

If you're using a non-Amazon supplier but want to list products in your Amazon store, you can still import single products with the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension, using this method:

  1. Click the "+" button on the product image in your search results on the supplier website with the extension enabled to start the import process.

  2. Find the product you want to sell on Amazon's website and copy the product's ASIN from either the product URL (for example, amazon.com/dp/B08J6LZQZ6) or the Product Details section on the Amazon listing page.

  3. Paste the ASIN into the extension to complete the import and click the "Import" button.

This method enables you to list products in your Amazon store, even when the original supplier is not Amazon, providing flexibility in your product sourcing.

Copy and paste buyer addresses (for manual orders)

The AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension features a powerful tool that enables you to copy buyer addresses directly from the Orders Page and paste them into supplier checkout forms when manually fulfilling orders. This feature significantly speeds up the order fulfillment process and reduces typing errors that can lead to shipping problems.

Supported suppliers for address pasting

You can use the AutoDS Helper paste address feature on the following supplier checkout pages:

  • eBay.

  • Amazon.

  • AliExpress.

  • Walmart.

Note: More channels may be added in future updates to expand this functionality.

How to copy and paste addresses

The process is simple and involves two main steps: copying the buyer's address from your AutoDS account and pasting it directly into the supplier's checkout page.

Follow the steps below to streamline your manual order fulfillment:

Step 1: Copy the buyer's address from AutoDS

To copy a buyer's shipping address from your AutoDS account:

  1. Go to your Orders Page in AutoDS.

  2. Click Edit next to the order you want to fulfill.

  3. Click the Copy Address button.

  4. Choose one of the two options from the dropdown menu:

    • Copy only address: Copies name, street, city, postal code, and country

    • Copy address + phone: Includes the phone number as well for suppliers that require it.

  5. A success message will confirm that the AutoDS Helper Extension has saved the data temporarily.

The address information is now stored in the extension's temporary clipboard, ready to be pasted on the supplier's checkout page.

Tip: If you don't see the option to copy the address on your Orders Page:

  1. Log in to the extension again if you recently cleared your cookies.

  2. Ensure the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension is pinned in Google Chrome.

  3. Try reinstalling the extension.

Step 2: Paste the address into the supplier checkout page

After copying the address from AutoDS, you can quickly paste it on the supplier's website:

  1. Go to the supplier website where you're placing the order.

  2. Proceed to the checkout page and ensure all address fields are visible on the screen.

  3. Click the Paste button provided by the AutoDS Helper Extension.

  4. The extension will automatically fill in the shipping details using the saved address information.

Important: Ensure the correct address fields are visible on the checkout page before clicking 'Paste'. The extension needs to detect the fields to populate them correctly.

Note: The Paste button automatically fills all address fields based on the data you copied from AutoDS. If no valid data is available in the clipboard, an error message will appear prompting you to copy the address again.
