Synchronising contacts from Génération Expert

How to manage contact between AutoEntry and Génération Expert. (France)

Written by Marie-H

When you integrate AutoEntry with Génération Expert (GE), contacts will sync from GE to AutoEntry.

However, it's possible to add a contact from AutoEntry (AE.) If the user adds a contact from the invoice, it will also synchronise to Génération Expert.

Make sure you understand how the synchronisation works between the two products to manage your contacts better.

Validation

After the user adds the contact in AE, the GE account administrator needs to approve the creation of the contact in GE.

For this reason, AutoEntry users need to avoid resynchronising data manually. A manual synchronisation only retrieves validated contacts. If the GE administrator hasn't approved the contact yet, the validated list will overwrite the list in AutoEntry and remove the new contact.

📎NOTE: Product improvements are in progress to address this limitation. In the meantime, when a practice client creates a new contact, make sure not to re-sync data and inform the practice. The practice needs to approve new contacts regularly in GE.

Siret

Make sure you add the Siret number when you create a contact as you need it to manage e-invoices.

⚠️KNOWN ISSUE : Currently the synchronisation doesn't pick up the e-invoicing address from GE.

Workaround: Create a new contact from AutoEntry with the Siret.

Editing

When you integrate with a third party product like GE, you can't edit contacts from AutoEntry.

📎NOTE: Improvements are underway to enable editing and merging duplicate contacts.
