Symptom

You are receiving the below error message while you are integrating a company on the AutoEntry Desktop Sync App.

Connection to the company could not be established. Desktop Connection Error: The following error occurred connecting to your Accounts Package: Invalid permissions for data directory.

Applies To

  • Sage 50 users.

Cause

This error means that the service does not have full read/write access to the company file specifed while integrating.

Resolution

To resolve this, you will need to follow the steps in our Configure Permissions for Shared Folders guide.
