Being able to create a cold email that will suit each person reading it (and do it on the fly)  could be a real clincher when it comes to conversions. Not doing so would be like not personalizing outreach emails themselves! But since you can’t go loading 10k+ cold prospects into a campaign and then manually personalizing every single email, we have a way to automate your process and give you more flexibility with links, text, and images.

You can use this to create an anchor link, clickable image, or multiple anchor elements.

The anchor element is used to create hyperlinks between a source anchor and a destination anchor. The source is the text, image, or button that links to another resource and the destination is the resource that the source anchor links to.

The starting process for each action is the same:

Step 1: Create a custom field

You can create a custom field here, for example, “LINK”. That custom field will have a visible token that you can use later.

Please note that only the manager of the team can create and manage Custom fields.

Step 2: Prepare your CSV file

Make sure your CSV file has a "Link" column, or something similar. Each recipient should have their own URL that goes there.

Upload a .csv file that contains a previously created column with links you want to use in your email and map that column to the custom field token:

Open the needed step template in the sequence.

Insert the code <a href="{TOKEN}">Link text</a>, where:

{Token} - is your custom variable with a link

Link text - is the hyperlinked text.

Upload a .csv file that contains a previously created column with image URLs you want to use in your email and map that column to the custom field token you've created.

Insert the code <a href="TOKEN"><img src="TOKEN"></a>, where

{Token} - is your custom variable with an image link.

3.   Multiple anchor elements

Upload a .csv file that contains a previously created column with links you want to use in your email as well as the column with custom text for each recipient and map those columns to custom field tokens you've created.

Insert the code <a href="TOKEN1">TOKEN2</a>, where

{Token1} - is your custom variable with a link

{Token2} - is a second custom variable; both will pull data for each contact from proper columns in the .csv file, and each contact will receive a personalized email.
