The test email feature is a way to see how the message you created will look on the recipient’s side, to check whether all images and links are working, and more.

By default, a Test email is sent from the email address set as the campaign "From Email".

To choose the address you'll send test emails to, click on the "Send Test Email" button.

The test email recipient can be selected under "Sending to" field. Choose any email account from the dropdown menu. Account (login) email and all connected email accounts (connections) will be listed here.

If the test email is not being delivered to the Inbox folder of your email account, please check the other folders too. The email could be moved to other folders by filters or other rules, or it could land in the Spam folder. In the case of spam, it would be good to check for possible reasons and address them to keep good deliverability.

Some providers do not allow sending to the same email account (when the account and sending email address are the same). This is especially the case for some Office 365 (Microsoft 365) email accounts.

  • One way to resolve this issue is to change Sending To address in Send Test Email window.

  • If that doesn't help there is a way to work around this limitation, by changing sending or account email address.
Change of login email address - article
Change of sending email account - article

  • In some cases, the solution is as simple as to re-connect the email account. Please check this article for more information.

An additional possibility is to create a test campaign with some secondary email addresses and check the sending behavior, delay, email deliverability, and formatting.
