When creating a campaign, and the default template is selected you may get the following info pop-up.

This pop-up will let you know that all square brackets [] must be removed from all emails in the sequence. The text in the square brackets should be adjusted according to your needs and requirements. Bolded text will let you know in which emails squared brackets are, and until all of them are removed, the system will prevent you from progressing to the next phase of campaign creation.

It is really important to remove those brackets and change the text in them because if you don't do that, it will be presented to campaign recipients exactly like as is.

Note that square brackets do not have the same function as curly brackets {}. Square ones contain placeholders that you should replace with personalized text, and curly brackets are usually used for tokens, in this format {{token_name}}.
