How to exclude already existing recipients from a new campaign?

Exclude list. Add only contacts that do not already exist or add only contacts that are not in any active campaign.

If the .CSV file that you're uploading to the new campaign contains duplicates that you don't want to email at this point you can easily choose to exclude them from recipients list. 

When creating a campaign, on step two, where you upload your contacts you will see two options that you can choose from:

  • Add only contacts that do not already exist

  • Add only contacts that are not in any active campaign only

Both options work on the Team level, so you won't accidentally email the contacts from your Team member's campaign. 

  • Add only contacts that do not already exist- With this option you will be excluding all existing contacts across your team. 

  • Add only contacts that are not in any active campaigns already- With this option, you will be excluding all recipients that are already active in In Progress campaigns across your team. 

Similar to the second exclude option for CSV import, there is an option to not upload contacts, from your team database, if they are already in any team In Progress campaign.
When using the Add Existing Contacts option in campaign step two, select desired or filtered contacts. When Add to Campaign button is clicked, a confirmation window will appear with the option to exclude contacts in active campaigns.
