Updated over a week ago

📜 Transcripts Overview

Transcriptions are the saved, written text that was heard from your live captions during a conversation. After an Ava conversation, you can keep the text that was spoken in the form of a 📜 Transcript in the tab just left of the "start captions" button.

How to Automatically Save Transcripts

By turning this setting on, your captions will save to transcripts after each conversation.

  1. Tap the 👤 Profile tab

  2. Go to your ⚙️ Settings

  3. Toggle Save Transcripts Automatically ON so it turns green

How to save a transcript

When your conversation is over, simply tap the red “End” button at the bottom left of the screen to end the Ava session.

If automatic transcript recording is enabled, transcripts will be saved every time you end a conversation session 👍

If automatic recording is disabled, you will still be prompted to record the conversation depending on the type of conversation you are having:

  • If you're in a solo conversation: press the “Record” button on your screen to record the transcript conversation.

  • If you're in a group conversation and you're the host: Choose “End without recording” or “End and record the transcript”.

  • If you're in a group conversation and you're not the host: choose “Leave without recording” or “Leave and record the transcript”.

⚠️ If autosave is not activated and you decide not to save a transcript at the end of the Ava session, you will no longer be able to access it.
