If this is your first time using Ava Desktop, click here to check out our guide on getting started!

1. Open Ava > Click on Start Captions to have the box appear at the bottom of your screen

2. Configure Audio in Ava

Click the four arrows to go to Full Screen View

In the menu on the left-side of your screen, select Ava Mic

3. Start the conference call and watch Ava caption away! (you can move windows around to fit you best)

Optional: If you want Ava to indicate who is speaking, invite meeting participants to join you on Ava (don't worry, they don't need to download Ava!).

Expert tips to enhance your experience

💡To improve the accuracy of Ava, encourage meeting participants to use Bluetooth headphones/mics

💡Position the Ava window below your video conference window so that captions can be read easily while staying engaged in the meeting (see example at the top of this page)

💡Click the blue keyboard icon on the right to type what you have to say, especially useful for non-verbal people or anyone with an accent.

💡Customize your screen and caption settings by clicking the black stacked horizontal lines icon, also known as a hamburger icon, in the top left corner.

💡Add the Ava Scribe service for 98% accurate transcripts. Using Ava Scribe means a human transcription specialist (CART) will correct the captions in real-time.
