🕓 How to Add a Past-Dated Booking on Avaana

If you’ve missed recording a booking on Avaana and the appointment date has already passed, don’t worry — you can easily add a backdated booking by following the steps below.

Step 1: Click on “Add Booking”

Start by selecting the Add Booking button from your dashboard.


Step 2: Enter Booking Details

Choose the appropriate details for the missed appointment:

  • Patient Name

  • Modality

  • Claim Number

  • Practitioner Name

  • Service Type

Step 3: Navigate to the Past Date

Use the left (previous) arrow in the date picker to move to the date of the missed appointment.


Step 4: Set the Appointment Date and Time

Select the Appointment Date and Start Time for the session you missed.

⚠️ Note: The base date is the initial appointment date and cannot go past that date.


Step 5: Confirm the Warning Message

You’ll see a message saying:

“You are about to create a backdated entry. Proceed with this booking?”

Click Continue Anyway to confirm and save the booking.

Step 6: Booking Confirmation

Once saved, the booking will be successfully added and displayed with a “Past Booking” tag for easy identification.
