In AvaiBook Sports, if you wish, your participants can make purchases related to their own registration directly from their private area.
Once registered for your event, they can access their private area using their registration ID and email and, for example, pay for a day license, purchase merchandise, or select an option from a customizable field —previously created by you— with a price and pay for it (medals, photos, transfers, etc.).
After logging in and selecting the desired purchases, the platform will display a summary of the changes on screen, along with the total amount to pay and the choice of payment method:
Another feature we wanted to make easier in AvaiBook Sports is that if a participant doesn’t complete the purchase, the platform will save their pending selections in their session. This way, when they log in again, they won’t need to reselect the products and can proceed directly to payment — cart mode on! 🛒
This way, you’ll get an updated registration, provide greater value to your events along with better customer service for participants, and save management time for yourself 😊
How to enable them
To activate this option, go to 👉 Settings / Participant Private Area / Configure Registration Data Editing / select a fee and, in the desired fields, tick the blue check to make it editable, then select the option “Request payment in case of change without issuing a refund.”
The platform commission cost is the percentage assigned in your plan, and, as with the online registration process, you also have the option to charge an administrative fee to the participant. Activate it via 👉 Financial / My Plan – by clicking on Additional Purchases.
How to refund the amount of these purchases
Possible purchases in the participant’s private area may result in multiple financial transactions being associated with each registrant (initial registration, several additional purchases, refunds, etc.). When you view a participant’s record, you will see the different items broken down within their registration, as well as the option to manage refunds for that registration via 👉 “Manage refunds.”
Each refund must be processed against its specific purchase transaction, so each financial movement will appear separately with its corresponding refund option in your management panel, as follows:
