What the weather forecast is
It’s a Weather tab that appears in the menu of your event’s public page, next to Home, Register, Participant’s private zone, Map or Contact us. This way your participants can check the weather without leaving the page, and you save yourself from answering the same questions over and over 😉.
What information it shows
Detailed daily forecast: sky conditions, maximum and minimum temperature, feels-like temperature, chance of precipitation and wind (speed and direction).
Wind map: an interactive Ventusky map, centered by default on the approximate location of your event.
Last update and source: the data updates automatically every 24 hours and comes from Open-Meteo.
When the forecast is shown
The forecast appears when your event is 10 days away and reliable data is available. Until then, the tab shows historical weather from previous years, based on the date and location of your event, so your participants have a reference.
How to turn it on
It’s off by default. You can turn it on in two ways:
When creating the event, during the creation process itself.
Later on, from General > Weather forecast.
Once there, switch on Activate weather forecast.
Good to know
The forecast is based on your event’s location. Make sure it’s entered correctly so the data is accurate.
You can turn it off at any time from the same path.
