The platform allows you to assign categories to participants as they register based on their date of birth and the gender they define. From AvaiBook Sports we recommend that you not create categories if it is not 100% necessary. Also keep in mind that if there are categories created you must cover all the ages allowed in the quotas / event because if someone who is going to register does not fit into any category, they will not be able to do so.

If you still want to define categories for your registrants automatically, you just have to go to 👉 settings / registration form / manage categories of registrants 👥

This is where you can create, add or modify the categories you need. You can create categories based on age (both at the beginning of the year and the date of the event, as well as at the end of the year), based on the date of birth and based on gender.

In addition, if you have created or modified them after opening registrations for the event, it is as simple as pressing the "recalculate categories" button so that they are automatically updated in all your registrants 😍

If you want to create categories in your event, but the category must be selectable by the registrant, we advise you to create a customizable field with the different options to choose from. For how to do it, see here
