With AvaiBook Sports you can activate, directly in the registration form, the registration cancellation insurance service for your participants. The service is free of charge for the organiser and your participants will be grateful to have this option active on your events 🤗. We explain everything below:

Cancellation insurance activation process

Activation is very simple, the moment you create or duplicate an event, you will find the option to offer cancellation insurance to your participants. Here are the steps you will need to follow: 👉 create a new event / 4-registration fees / Do you want to offer membership cancellation insurance? Yes✅ 👇

The events in which this option will appear are those that are competitive and non-competitive (for example, we do not consider it necessary to activate it in waiting lists or issuing certificates).

How cancellation insurance works

You, as the organiser, do not have to take care of anything. You will only have to activate the option for the registratione fees you want it to be available. From that moment on, you can forget about incidents and refunds of registration fees.

If the participant takes out cancellation insurance ( he/she will find the option on the entry form as in the picture below), he/she will have to contact the insurance company in case he/she wants to make use of the insurance and request a refund of the entry.

AvaiBook Sports will send the list of participants who have taken out insurance to the insurance company on a daily basis.

Details to take into account about the cancellation insurances

The participant will be able to take out the insurance starting from a minimum registration fee of 2€, but even if the fee is free of charge, the service can be activated for participants if the fee has customised fields with a price.

For example: we create a registration fee of 0 euro - which is less than the minimum amount to activate the insurance - but add the option to purchase the event t-shirt at a price of 10 euro to the form. From then on, the insurance can be used. 😊.

The option to take out cancellation insurance will appear in individual entry fees, but not in team entries.
