We are delighted to unveil another addition to the Avaza Project Dashboard - the Project Expense Widget. This handy feature provides a summary of total expenses tracked for a project split by billable and non-billable expenses. This helps Project & Finance Managers to stay on top of the project expenses.

What data is included in this widget?

The widget displays a summary section featuring the total expense amount, along with a breakdown by billable and non-billable amount. Below the summary section, the details of expenses grouped by Team and Category are displayed.

The team tab lists expenses for each team member with a breakdown by Billable and Non-Billable expenses.

The category tab displays expense breakdown by each expense category with category budget amount, billable, non-billable expenses, and remaining budget for each category

How to add this widget?

To add the Project Expense widget to your project, simply navigate to an existing project, select the Summary tab, and click on the Add to Dashboard button. From the list, select the Project Expense widget, and it will be added to the Project Summary page.

Who has access to this widget?

The widget is accessible to all users with Admin, Finance Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Project Manager roles. However, for users with solely the Project Manager role, the following project member-level settings need to be enabled for them to access the widget's content:

  • Can manage Project Member Costs & Billable Rates

  • Can manage Fixed Amounts on Projects
