Merging Records

To merge records:

  1. Log in to your AwardSpring site.

  2. Go to <subdomain>.awardspring.com/Admin/HelpCenter/lastimport, replacing <subdomain> with your own—for example, sampleschool.awardspring.com/Admin/HelpCenter/lastimport.

  3. Review the column mapping to confirm every field lines up correctly:

    • Columns in File: the data your institution sent

    • Question in AwardSpring: where it lands on the application

  4. Click Exceptions for import on XX/XX/XXXX.

  5. Ensure the import completed successfully by verifying the Complete status. If the status states there was an issue with your import, please contact support@awardspring.com

  6. Click Manage next to Email Conflicts (if any)—accounts that already exist in your site with that email but are being imported for the first time. This lets you confirm it's the same user before merging the accounts and importing the data.

  7. Work through each line:

    • Verify the email address and name match, then click Merge. If the accounts shouldn't be merged, click Skip instead.

    • Once every line is marked, click Reimport These Records to import the data into the merged accounts.

  8. The import will run, and you will be redirected back to the exception management screen. This may take a few minutes.

  9. Click Download to download an Excel workbook of students who failed to import for other reasons.
