Set up calendar integrations

You can convert appointments into times to easily display calendar appointments in awork's time tracking.

The calendar integration makes it possible to view your appointments in the timeline within the My Day view under Times. Clicking on an appointment lets you easily create times from it.

We do not save your appointments. Also, they are only visible to your user.

Integrate a calendar

If you haven't added a calendar yet, you will find a button to add a calendar in the My Day view under Times on the right side of the screen.

Alternatively, add the setup using the calendar icon at the top right of the page or via the integration library under Settings > Add Integrations.

awork allows you to connect to the following calendars:

  • Google Workplace

  • Microsoft (Outlook & Exchange)

  • Apple iCloud

You can add multiple calendars from the same or different providers.

In the case of a Microsoft calendar, only cloud-based Exchange servers can be linked. awork does not support standalone hosted local Exchange servers.

Setup for Google & Microsoft

If you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar, you will be redirected to a page of the provider where you have to authenticate yourself and allow awork access to the calendar.

Afterward, you will be redirected back to awork and select the calendar group you want to display.

Now all appointments from all integrated calendars are displayed in awork. The symbols within the appointments allow you to distinguish between the different providers.

Setup for Apple iCloud

If you are using an iCloud calendar, another window will open in awork. Here you enter your Apple ID.

You now need to go to https://appleid.apple.com and follow the instructions in the awork popup:

  1. Navigate to security section > select App-Specific Passwords.

  2. Generate a new app password there.

  3. First, confirm in awork that you have followed the steps.

  4. Then enter the password in the text line in awork.

Now all appointments from all integrated calendars are displayed in awork. The icons in the appointments allow you to distinguish between the different providers.

Edit a calendar integration

Edit, delete, or add the integrated calendars in the My Day view under Times in the upper right corner via the calendar icon.
