Release: Custom Field Update - Currency Field replaced with Number Field

Released: 1/27/2021

Updated over a year ago

What's Changing?

We have replaced Currency Custom Fields with Number Custom Fields.

What does this mean for you?

If you were managing Currency Custom Fields, your data has been migrated to Number Fields. You will notice the values no longer have the ($) currency symbol as Number Custom Fields only allow (-) and a single decimal point (for example: -88.15).

How do you manage a Price value as a Custom Fields now?

You have two options to manage a Price as a Custom Fields, they are the following:

  1. Manage as Number Custom Field: If you want to leave your data as is, you can update the Custom Field Name to have a ($) at the end. For example:

    • Original Name: Retail Price

    • New Name: Retail Price ($)

    • This way anyone viewing this field, will know the number represents a $ value.

  2. Manage as a Text-Area Custom Field: This will allow you to enter any symbol you wish. Please note: Users will have to always type in your currency symbol, when entering a new value.
