How do you ensure the security of people's information?

We encrypt all the data we store, and encrypt the electronic transfer of that data over the internet.  Data that’s also stored in the app on your device is also encrypted so that it cannot be accessed by a third party or another app.  We also allow people to add two-factor authentication to their account, whereby they have to enter a code that’s send via a SMS message at the time of login.

How are you storing people’s health information?

Information is securely stored in the cloud to that is can be accessed anywhere with a valid username/password and optionally two-factor authentication cloud.  We also store an up-to-date version of the information in a user’s smartphone app so that they can access it without an internet connection.

Why can't I use Backpack Health from my location?

Backpack Health is required to comply with international regulations that restrict the use of our site by residents of certain countries. Because of this, our services are not available in Crimea, Iran, Sudan, Syria, and North Korea.
