The Bafang motors come with connections to install front headlights. This headlight is intended to mount to a front fork with a bolt mount hole in front. π
In order to connect the front headlight, you will use the RED and BLACK leads from your motor.
If you have a 750W BBS02 motor you will only have 2 leads Red (+) & Black (-)
If you have a 1000W BBSHD motor you will have 4 leads (Yellow (+), Blue (-), Red (+) & Black (-) as seen in the photo) however you will only use the Red (+) and Black (-) leads for the front light.
The RED lead from your motor will connect with the β side of the led light. You will see the connection when looking at the backside of your headlight, and you will see the β on the LEFT-HAND side. We recommend using the black extension cable with the white line to connect the RED lead coming from the motor to the β side of the led light as seen in the photo.
The connection between the Red (+) Lead of the Motor and the extension cable (Back with white line). Connect the extension cable (Back with white line) to the β side of the light:
Next, connect the BLACK lead from your motor with the β side of the led light. We recommend using the remaining all BLACK extension cable & connection to connect the BLACK lead from your motor to the BLACK lead from your extension cable.
You will see the connection when looking at the backside of your headlight, and you will see the β on the RIGHT-HAND side. You will want to connect the last remaining BLACK lead from your extension cable into this β on the RIGHT-HAND side of the LED.
Since the light extension cable extension does not have red and black, and instead, it is just a solid black cable and a black cable with a white line. You will just need to be mindful of which of the extension cables you attach each to the RED and BLACK motor leads to make sure they are the correct way when you connect them to the headlight with regards to β on the LEFT and β on the RIGHT.
