Short answer: No — BankrollU is not a funded account program.
If you've come across prop trading firms like Topstep, NinjaTrader, FTMO, Apex Trader Funding, or My Funded Futures, you may notice some surface-level similarities with BankrollU. Both involve an evaluation, performance targets, and the opportunity to earn real money. But the underlying structure is fundamentally different.
How prop trading firms work
Firms like Topstep and FTMO give traders access to a live account funded with real capital after passing an evaluation. Once funded, you're trading the firm's actual money in live markets — and you split the profits with the firm.
How BankrollU works
BankrollU does not deploy real capital to your account at any point. Here's the actual structure:
You purchase a Combine — your entry into a skill-based evaluation using a virtual Bankroll.
The Bankroll is virtual currency — it's a scoring device used to measure your performance. You are never risking or receiving real money through your Bankroll balance.
Pass the Combine and you unlock the Pro Levels at no additional cost. Access is earned through performance, not purchased.
In the Pro Levels, you manage a virtual Pro Bankroll through a series of progressive stages. Hit your Performance Bonus target at each level and a real cash prize is automatically transferred to your Prize Wallet.
The virtual Bankroll has no monetary value. It cannot be cashed out, transferred, or exchanged. It is removed from your account when a level ends — whether you pass or fail.
The key difference
Prop firms fund your account with real money and share profits from live trading. BankrollU is a skill-based challenge and contest platform — the Bankroll is the measuring stick, not real capital. You earn pre-disclosed cash prizes for completing specific performance criteria, not a share of profits from a funded account.
Think of it less like a prop firm and more like a structured sports competition with real prizes for top performers.
