1. Open the Glasses Order
• Navigate to the patient's Optical Order section.
• Click the glasses order you want to duplicate.
2. Duplicate the Order
• Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the glasses order.
• Select Duplicate from the menu.
3. Review the New Draft Order
• A new glasses order opens in a separate browser tab as a Draft.
• The duplicated order is pre-filled with the same products, quantities, and details as the original.
• Review and update any fields as needed (e.g., prescription, notes, delivery preferences).
4. Save or Submit the Order
• Click Save to retain the order as a draft for later editing.
• When ready, complete any required fields and submit the order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is duplicating orders available for all order types?
Duplicate is available on glasses orders only. It is not available for contact lens orders or other optical order types.
Will the duplicated order retain the original's status?
No. The duplicated order always opens as a Draft, regardless of the status of the original order.
Does duplicating an order affect the original?
No. The original order is unchanged. Duplicating creates a completely independent copy.
Can I duplicate an order for a different patient?
No. The duplicated order is created under the same patient as the original. To create a similar order for a different patient, you will need to create a new order manually.
