Who this is for: All Barti users.
Before you start, you'll need:
For contact lens orders: your FAIT ECP ID saved in Organization Settings → Locations (see How do I add my FAIT account to Barti?)
For glasses orders: your VisionWeb account connected in Organization Settings (see How do I set up my profile and organization settings in Barti?)
Optical Order - Video Walkthrough (3 min)
Create a contact lens order (FAIT)
Select Optical Orders from the left side menu
Click New Order
Select a Patient and then Contact Lenses as the order type.
Click Create New Order.
Confirm the supplier is routing to FAIT.
Confirm the prescription from the Exam visit - this will pull in the product selected within the exam.
Click Place Order.
Create a glasses order (VisionWeb)
Select Optical Orders from the left side menu
Click New Order
Select a Patient and Glasses as the order type.
Confirm the order is routing to VisionWeb.
Confirm the prescription from the Exam visit
Choose the desired Frame.
Choose the Lens Design, Material, and up to 6 Add Ons
Click Place Order.
Print an order
The Print button is available in the order toolbar at any stage — including before the order has been placed. See How do I print a FAIT order? for details.
What you'll see when it works
The order appears in the patient's profile under Optical Orders with a status of Ordered. The status will then update automatically via our integration.
Troubleshooting
My order isn't defaulting to FAIT for contact lenses.
Check that your FAIT ECP ID is saved to the correct location in Organization Settings → Locations. If you have multiple locations, the ECP ID must be set on each one. See How do I add my FAIT account to Barti?.
I don't see VisionWeb as an option for glasses orders.
Your VisionWeb account may not be connected yet. Go to Organization Settings and connect your VisionWeb credentials. See How do I set up my profile and organization settings in Barti?.
Can I edit an order after placing it?
No, currently orders submitted via FAIT cannot be edited once placed.
