Who this is for: Kno2 administrators only. All users can search and use contacts once they've been uploaded.
Before you start, you'll need:
Admin access to your Kno2 organization
A UTF-8 CSV file with your contacts, formatted to Kno2's requirements (see below)
Prepare your CSV file
Your CSV file must meet the following requirements before uploading:
Must be a UTF-8 encoded CSV file
Must be smaller than 20 MB
Cannot contain duplicate name/number combinations
Must include these three column headers, spelled correctly (not case-sensitive): Contact Value, Name, Company
If you don't have an existing contacts list, download Kno2's sample template file to build one. [VERIFY: Confirm whether the template file is available for download directly from the Contacts page in the Kno2 dashboard, and add the exact location or link.]
For detailed data requirements for each column, see [VERIFY: Link to or reproduce the Contact Value, Name, and Company data requirements referenced in the source material.]
Upload your contacts
Log in at kno2.prod.barti.com as an administrator.
Navigate to Contacts. [VERIFY: Confirm the exact location of Contacts in the navigation — is it under a Settings menu or in the main left nav?]
Upload your CSV file.
Review the upload results. If any errors or warnings appear, see the Troubleshooting section below.
What you'll see when it works
Your contacts appear in the Contacts directory. All users in your organization can now search for them in the To field when sending a new fax from Release.
Troubleshooting
I'm getting an upload error.
Errors are displayed on the Contacts page and remain visible until your next successful upload, which clears them automatically. Common causes are an incorrectly formatted CSV, missing required headers, or duplicate name/number combinations. Review your file against the requirements above, correct the issue, and re-upload. If the error persists, contact support@kno2.com.
I'm seeing a warning that says "The file could not be imported as an upload is currently in progress."
Another admin in your organization is already uploading a contacts file. Wait for their upload to finish, then try again.
How do I update my contacts list?
Upload a new CSV file with your updated contacts. [VERIFY: Confirm whether uploading a new file replaces the existing list entirely, merges with it, or requires a separate "update" workflow. The source mentions a "Contacts Uploader - Updating an Existing Kno2fy Contacts List" guide — confirm whether this is a distinct process.]
