Who this is for: All Barti users who manage rejected claims. Claim corrections must be made in TriZetto, not in Barti.
Before you start, you'll need:
Access to your TriZetto account at mytools.gatewayedi.com
The rejection reason for the claim (visible inside the claim in Barti or in TriZetto)
Steps
Log into TriZetto at mytools.gatewayedi.com.
Locate the rejected claim. You can search for it using the Claims Search tool or pull the Claims Reconciliation Report.
Open the claim and click Correct/Resubmit Claim.
Make the necessary corrections. For a payer ID error: click the Payer Information tab and enter the correct payer ID.
Click Resubmit in the top-right corner.
What you'll see when it works
The corrected claim is resubmitted to the payer. The claim status in TriZetto will update, and the updated status will be reflected in Barti once processed.
Common rejection reasons and fixes
"Insured/Subscriber — Invalid Information" (member ID wrong or policy inactive)
Fix this in Barti, not TriZetto. Go to the patient's profile, correct the member ID, then resubmit the claim.
"No Trading Partner Associated With This Claim" (wrong payer ID or EDI)
Update the payer ID in TriZetto under Payer Information, then resubmit. The payer ID is typically on the back of the patient's insurance card.
"Provider Not Approved to Send Electronic Claims"
The provider is not enrolled with this payer for electronic submission. Contact TriZetto at 800-556-2231 to begin the enrollment process.
"Invalid Information" (no specific details provided)
TriZetto hasn't specified the exact issue. Call TriZetto at 800-556-2231 — they can identify the specific field causing the rejection.
Claim shows "Error" status in Barti
An Error status means the transmission to TriZetto failed — it's not a payer rejection. You can resubmit Error claims directly in Barti without creating a new claim.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the claim in TriZetto after submitting from Barti.
It typically takes up to 1 hour for TriZetto to receive claims after submission. If more than an hour has passed, pull the Claims Reconciliation Report in TriZetto or use the Claims Search tool. For detailed directions on either, see TriZetto's help documentation or call 800-556-2231.
The delete option is grayed out on my rejected claim.
Only Draft and Hold claims can be deleted in Barti. Rejected claims cannot be deleted — correct and resubmit them in TriZetto instead.
