How do I set up automated missed-call texts in Barti?
Quick answer: Go to Org Settings → Communications → Text Automation, edit the Missed Call row, choose a template, and turn it on. Barti automatically texts patients whose calls go unanswered and reach voicemail.
Who this is for
Org admins who want Barti to automatically follow up by text when a patient's call isn't answered.
Before you start
You need admin access to Organization Settings.
Your org must be on the new Text Automation.
Barti texting and inbound calling must be set up for your practice.
Steps
1. Open the Missed Call configuration. Go to Org Settings → Communications → Text Automation and click the edit icon on the Missed Call row. The Configure Missed Call Texts modal opens.
2. Choose a template. Select the template Barti sends. The default is the Missed Call template; you can select any of your org templates.
3. Turn on the automation and save.
What you'll see when it works
The Missed Call row shows your selected template under Template.
When an inbound call isn't answered by staff (and goes to voicemail), Barti automatically texts that number using your selected template.
To avoid over-texting, Barti sends at most one missed-call text per phone number within a 60-minute window, even if there are multiple missed calls.

A patient called several times — why did they only get one text? Barti limits missed-call texts to one per phone number per 60-minute window to avoid sending duplicate messages.
