Setting a budget

You can set a weekly or monthly budget on this page. Your budget amount nets credit earned against charges accrued. So if you spend $3,000 on referrals in a month, and generate $1,000 in referral credits, your net balance would be $2,000. If your budget was set to $2,000, then you would not receive any more referrals from Baton until the new month begins, or you accrue more credits to bring down your balance.

You can’t set a budget lower than $0. If your bid is set to $0, that would essentially mean that you will only bid for referrals when your credit balance is enough to cover it.

Additional Note: You can choose to set your budget window either on a Monthly or Weekly basis. Keep in mind that your budget window aligns with your billing frequency. In other words, if you set your budget window to Weekly, your billing frequency will also be Weekly.

Preloaded accounts

Many partners are required to preload their accounts with $200 credits or more before they are able to accept referrals. When your credit balance runs out, within 24 hours we will charge your card on file to return your account to your preload amount.

Companies that are billed like this can still use the Budget functionality to cap their total net referral spend at what they feel comfortable spending.

If you would like to adjust your preload amount, please reach out to your Account manager or the Client Success team (client.success@batonleads.com).
