Reporting back on referral status

For companies paying Per Sale or on Revshare, it is very important that you report back on the outcome of referrals in a timely manner. Otherwise, companies may not want to refer to you.

How to report back

If you are set up to pay Per Sale or on Commission, simply navigate to the My Referrals page to see which referrals are left to review.

Then on the Pending tab, select "Review" next to the referral.

From there, mark if the account was Sold, No Sale, or is In Progress, and then add any notes that will be helpful to us or the other companies to know (the other companies can see these).

If you are paying on Commission basis, you will also see where you can input the full sale amount so we can calculate commission. In Progress referrals will still be marked as pending to review later.

Marking referrals as invalid

Part of your Baton ranking depends on how much you are paying for valid referrals on average. Even if you aren't paying for the referral, it is still important that you mark each invalid referral as such so that it doesn't count against you.

To do that, mark the referral as "No sale", and then select "Mark as invalid." Finally, choose a reason why the referral was invalid, then hit "Submit."

Having trouble reporting back?

We totally get that a lot of people are out in the field taking calls, and may not have the time or technological savvy to use a portal or an app to report back on the status of referrals. We get it.

If that's the case for you, here are your options:

  1. Pay Per Referral instead. This way every referral is the same price so long as you don't reject it for being unqualified. Everyone's life is easier this way.

  2. Report back on referrals by responding to your text or email notifications. This way our team can log the status of your referrals for you.

What happens when you don't report back

Think of it from the perspective of the companies sending you business: If they're going to send customers to you, they want to (1) send them to someone they trust to take care of them, and (2) get paid.

If they can't trust you to pay them, how can they trust you to take good care of their customers?

If you don't report back in a reasonable manner, we will stop sending you referrals and potentially remove you from the network until you report back and pay.

How and when you are billed

We'll charge the card you have on file when you either (1) hit your billing threshold or (2) you have a balance and it's the end of the month. Please make sure that you have an active payment method saved to your account.
