Refer moving customers directly from your CRM (PestRoutes, PestPac, Briostack, etc)

Leverage your CRM to refer customers to Baton (PestPac, PestRoutes, BrioStack, etc.)

Alternatively, you can manage "moving customer" referrals entirely within your CRM. For larger companies, this is usually the easiest option.

Tag customers, and export a list

Lots of customers moving? You can tag them in your CRM, or create a unique cancel reason, to export a list of them later on. Since moving customers are usually in need of immediate referral, the timing isn't as sensitive so you can batch-send them to us periodically, like once per week.

If your Office Manager hasn't already, first have them go into PestRoutes, Briostack, or whatever you use, and have them add a new, unique cancel reason that they would like to attribute to referrals ("Moved - Baton", "Moved - Referred", etc.). This will help know which accounts to export later on.

Now when you go to cancel the moving customer's account that is moving, just select the unique Cancel reason from above before doing the rest.

Before confirming the cancellation, be sure to add the following info to the cancellation notes:

  • Where is the customer moving? This does not have to be exact, but still needs to be at least a city and state.

  • When are they moving there / when is the best time to follow up? Again, does not have to be exact.

  • (optional) What type of home will they be living in? Single-family, condo, duplex, etc.

Once you've included that info, click to confirm the cancellation and end the call with the customer, if you have not already. Let them know that you will be in touch soon about who to expect a call from once they've moved in.

Finally, each week the Office Manager should export these referrals and send them to team@batonleads.com.

Set up email triggers

Tech-savvy? If you log lead data in your CRM, you can customize a trigger to fire off an email to us at new@batonleads.com directly with the customer's info and referral need. We can then refer them on your behalf.
